Our team recently developed an integration with Unbounce, the highly reviewed landing page builder from our friends in Vancouver. After requests from several customers and from around the web, we’re excited to share this integration with our customers and Unbounce’s customers. Let’s dive into it.
What is Unbounce?
Unbounce is a landing page builder for marketers who want to build, publish, and A/B test landing pages quickly, without the need for web developers. It’s an incredibly easy tool to use, remarkably powerful, and is one of the quickest ways to get a page published and used in a campaign. The company, based in Vancouver, Canada, was founded by veteran marketers in 2009 and has grown to more than 11,000 customers in 2015. In the same year the company helped customers collect more than 60,000,000 leads through its landing pages.
Why do people use Unbounce?
Unbounce customers rave about how easy the tool is to use and how quickly they can get sharp, high-converting landing pages published. Since marketers are increasingly working in roles ranging from PPC analysis to graphic design and web development, any tool that makes a task like landing page creation simple saves time and allows more time to focus on the ultimate goal: more leads.
Before tools like Unbounce were available, marketers either had to be graphic designers and web developers themselves or work with a development team and graphic design team to get a new page created. This is costly and slows down the kind of pace most digital marketers think is necessary to be successful. With a landing page tool like Unbounce a marketer can remove a huge bottleneck to getting a campaign out into the wild and collecting leads.
What problem does the CallRail Unbounce integration solve?
So the big question, how does CallRail integrate with Unbounce? And even better, why would an Unbounce marketer want CallRail to integrate? Two words: Offline Conversions.
Unbounce pages have built in lead collection via web forms, and the software does a fantastic job managing form submissions, as well as simple conversions like link clicks, for example. But what happens when an advertisement drives a click to an Unbounce landing page and then a lead skips the form on the page and opts to pick up the phone and call or text?
In the scenario above, the phone call was driven by the ad and Unbounce landing page but because it happened over the phone it’s not counted as a conversion. More so, the call isn’t attributed to the particular Unbounce variant that drove it.
The CallRail Unbounce integration solves this attribution gap by associating phone calls and text messages to the Unbounce page variant that drove it. CallRail sends these phone number conversions to Unbounce so that they’re counted in the page variant’s leads.
How to setup the CallRail Unbounce integration
Setting up the Unbounce integration is simple. Within CallRail, go to the integration settings page for the company you’d like to connect with Unbounce and authorize the connection by logging in to your Unbounce account.
Next, grab the Dynamic Number Insertion javascript from CallRail for the company you want to connect. Paste this on the javascript settings within Unbounce for each variant you want to track.
Once you’ve authorized CallRail and added the javascript to Unbounce’s variants, you’re all set. You’ll never miss another phone call or text message conversion from an Unbounce landing page again!
