CallRail achieves security and privacy milestone with SOC 2 Type II report

This just in: CallRail just took a major step in our never ending pursuit of gold-standard privacy and security for our customers: SOC 2 Type II attestation. This achievement affirms we’ve set and maintained a series of security protocols that protect our customers’ data.

When Kurdeen Karim, our Director of IT Security & Infrastructure, joined the CallRail team last year, she immediately set about conducting an analysis of our security measures. Her plan to get us to this milestone included setting additional controls in place, internal auditing, and finally a review by a third party auditor, Schellman & Company, LLC.

As part of the SOC 2 Type II report, CallRail was evaluated against the following three categories:

• Security: We've taken strong measures to prevent unauthorized access to our systems and protect the integrity of any information CallRail stores or processes.
• Availability: We've built our products to be up and running as close to 100% of the time as possible.
• Confidentiality: Information designated as confidential is protected with extra security controls to ensure the privacy of our customers — and their customers.

The SOC 2 Type II report, developed by the American Institute of CPAs, verifies that CallRail has achieved the Trust Services criteria for security, availability, and confidentiality. The audit by Schellman & Company confirmed there were no findings — which means our team left no stone unturned and successfully implemented the required security measures.
